Print the care sheet →This work is made by hand in poured layers of epoxy resin on a wood support, with pigments, metal components, and three-dimensional elements set into the surface. The following will preserve it.
Display and Light01
For indoor display. Hang on a stable interior wall out of direct sunlight. Soft, indirect lighting is preferred. Keep hot spotlights at a distance and avoid prolonged intense illumination.
Temperature and Humidity02
Keep the work in a stable indoor environment. A practical target is 64 to 75°F and 40 to 55% relative humidity. Consistency matters more than the exact figure. Keep the work away from radiators, fireplaces, heating and cooling vents, open windows, and damp walls.
Material Behaviour03
Epoxy resin is durable. Prolonged UV exposure and heat accelerate natural ageing and can gradually affect colour, gloss, and surface. The wood support responds to changes in humidity. Variation in texture and surface is characteristic of handmade resin work.
Cleaning04
Dust with a clean, dry microfiber cloth using minimal pressure. Avoid abrasive pads, brushes, polishing compounds, alcohol, acetone, solvents, bleach, and household cleaners. Never spray liquid onto the work. Dust raised elements carefully.
Handling and Installation05
Handle as little as possible, by the structural edges, with clean dry hands or gloves. Keep pressure off the resin surface and off three-dimensional components. Larger works require two people. Use wall fixings rated for the weight of the work and suited to the wall construction. Never suspend the work from a decorative or three-dimensional element. Professional art handling service is recommended where there is any uncertainty.
Transport and Storage06
Protect the work from impact, pressure, and abrasion in transit. Keep it out of closed vehicles for extended periods. Store clean, dry, supported, and indoors. Avoid damp basements and hot attics. Keep packing materials off raised surfaces during long storage.
Periodic Care07
In case the work is constantly displayed, inspect the hanging system and the work quarterly. Look for moisture behind the work, loose fittings, movement in three-dimensional elements, cracking, and separation. Where damage appears, contact the artist or a qualified conservator rather than attempting repair by own means.
