About

Can Bayraktar works between Miami and İstanbul, across two bodies of work.

The Lifeline Series is a group of four abstract paintings that follow one line through a life — the invisible currents beneath it, the fragments it is made of, its turning points, and the emotional waves that leave their mark.

The sculptural works are thirteen titled round panels. Their medium is recorded on every certificate as Mixed media on wood, epoxy resin, sculptural elements — balloons and clouds set into the surface, so each panel reads as an object as much as an image.

Every work is catalogued and issued with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity, so that a work and its record stay together.

  • Abstract painting of branching blue and turquoise currents over a black ground

    Invisible Currents

    Lifeline Series

We rarely see what truly shapes us. Invisible currents move beneath the surface of our days, guiding, pulling, and sometimes redirecting our path without us even knowing.

  • Abstract painting with yellow, blue and green organic forms meeting on a deep red ground

    Fragments of the Journey

    Lifeline Series

Our lifeline isn’t a straight line. It’s made of fragments — beautiful, painful, confusing, joyful — all part of the journey.

  • Vertical abstract painting of a winding green and blue path with floating color forms on red

    Turning Points

    Lifeline Series

Life changes direction in unexpected ways. A single choice, a single moment, can create a new path we never imagined we could take.

  • Abstract painting of red, pink and purple waves flowing across a black ground

    Emotional Waves

    Lifeline Series

Feelings rise and fall like waves. Some are intense, some are quiet, but all of them leave a mark and shape who we become.
